NOW WE CAN TURN PHOTOS INTO 3D models
17.02.2014

Triglav 3D

Software can automatically turn photographs with enough overlap to textured 3D models. Each photo needs to have a sufficient overlap with its neighbors so that the software can detect similarities in the images, seen from slightly different angles.

REMOTE SENSING METHOD, PHOTOGRAMMETRY, QUICK ACQUISITION OF DATA WHEN GOING FOR NATURAL DISASTERS

Natural hazards

Natural hazards are an integral component of forest stand dynamics. Hazards are frequent intermediate and large-scale width may cause considerable economical and ecological damages.

Very important sources of information, when dealing with the natural disasters, are various existent geodetic data. Remote sensing method photogrammetry enable quick acquisition of data when dealing with natural disasters.

FLYING SAFETY SLOWER AND LOWER MEANS GETTING SHARPER IMAGES AND A LOT MORE DETAIL.

Today’s ultra-light aircraft offer 3 main technical characteristics that turn them into excellent large scale mapping platforms:

They often come in composite materials and therefore have excellent aerodynamic shapes and surfaces, which produce less drag.

The composite structures are usually designed with latest 3D-design methodology which means in practice, they provide advanced flight safety and they manoeuver very well.

They all come with design stall speeds of as low as only 65km/h, which results in outstanding flight safety in lower altitudes and at lower speeds.

WILDFIRE THREATS
15.08.2013

Forest Fire Rogatec - Slovenia

Dry, hot and windy weather increased fire risk across all the country.

The aero-thermographic images can detect:
- Center and magnitude of the fire
- The places where it is still smoldering, and otherwise can’t be located

- Assisting firefighters on the ground with the exact location of the fire spread

With excellent knowledge and top equipment for aero-photography and aero-shooting we are able to provide you excellent pictures and videos from the air, which are key enablers for faster and better supervision and implementation of actions by the competent inspection services.

Other clips can be viewed in the content AERO-VIDEO SHOOTING.

The company Aerovizija d.o.o. applied the EU competition challenge "World You Like Challenge"

Project GreenLight WorldFlight 2012 and GreenLight WorldFlight North Pole 2013 is an ideal opportunity for us to show the whole Europe how successful it can be think small – think light think green to measure the concentrations of black carbon in the atmosphere.

Black carbon concentrations are very heterogeneous: they are much higher close to the sources then far from them, the difference being several orders of magnitude (an order of magnitude is a range with the factor 10 between the upper and lower limit). Measuring such a wide range of concentrations with the same instrument is quite a challenge. This is possible with the Aethalometers – instruments for measuring black carbon made by Aerosol d.o.o.. The Aethalometer, which was installed into the ultra-light airplanePipistrel Virus SW is a prototype, based on the well established measurement principle, yet allowing measurements in different conditions: from high concentrations at ground level to very low concentrations high over the oceans. Black carbon concentrations, measured during Matevz's flight last year, confirm our expectations. Over the Mediterranean (with very high winds), the Atlantic and the Caribbean, very low concentrations were encountered. Over the shores of Africa, the US, and South America, the concentrations were higher, not only due to proximity to sources in cities and industrial areas, but also because the winds transported air pollution into the flight path. The concentrations decreased with height and particles were washed out by precipitation. It is interesting to note that in the presence of relatively stable meteorological conditions black carbon concentrations remain fairly constant: for example, concentrations were very similar during the flight to and from Rio de Janiero on a very similar route but with a two-day difference. This means that the captured data can be used in modeling of regional effects of black carbon concentrations on the climate, weather and agriculture.

INFRARED THERMOGRAPHIC INSPECTIONS
25.02.2013
AERIAL-THERMOGRAPHY

By the use of a infrared camera mounted on an aircraft we are able:

  • to provide information over an entire city quickly, easily and cost effectively,
  • to produce ortho-rectified thermal maps,
  • can be applied to determine the operational status of photovoltaic solar systems
  • to detected flaw on High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) Systems
  • detect the forest fires

STANKO BLOUDEK AWARD 2012
12.02.2013

STANKO BLOUDEK AWARD

Matevz Lenarcic was awarded with Stanko Bloudek prize (plaquette) for major international sporting achievement in year 2012.

Bloudek awards (award and plaquette) are the highest national sport awards in the Republic of Slovenia and have a wider dimension than other sports awards since 1965 for the work and achievements in sport.

Bloudek Award recipients may be individuals, sports teams or organizations.

Congratulations.

MONOGRAPH - AROUND THE ONLY WORLD

Around the only World

A book about Matevz's first flight around the world was published in Russian language.

On his exciting journey that took him over Russia, Siberia, Canada, Greenland, Iceland and back home, he gets a taste of the primeval connection with the beautiful landscape, meets the natives and meditates on freedom and people’s responsibilities toward Earth. In addition to this travelogue in which the author describes the adventures and misadventurous of his heroic act, you can admire the breath-taking photographs from the flight in the photo monograph Okrog edinega sveta with comments in Russian language.
